Diabets

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) rates diabetes mellitus primarily under 38 CFR § 4.119, Diagnostic Code 7913. The rating depends on the severity of symptoms and the level of medical management required. Ratings range from 0% to 100%.

Diabetes can cause Neuropathy in both arms and legs. After completing Diabetes, the quiz will ask about your Neuropathy. Please answer those questions. If you do no experience Neuropathy, select NOT APPLICABLE.

The VA rating system determines the severity based on your Range of Motion on a “Flare-Up”. Consider a Flare-Up as the worst day in the last year.
